This is a paid position. The rate of pay for this position is minimum
wage. You must be 16 years of age at the time camp starts. We offer
teens a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program. This program offers the
opportunity for teenagers interested in working with children, to
gain leadership experience working under a trained senior counselor.
CIT’s are included in pre-camp training, staff meetings, and
CIT meetings. They are personally led by the Directors with conflict
resolution case studies and leadership skills for two seasons before
they can become a senior counselor.
Any teen interested in working at the camp this summer will be required
to be 1st Aid/ CPR certified offered at the camp. Certifications are
held at the camp by 1st Rescuers. A full background check will be
conducted along with reference checks.
This program is great for a teenager who is friendly, can maintain
a positive attitude, and who likes working with younger children.
CIT’s are assigned a group of younger campers and will help
the senior counselor lead the group, assist with activities and organize
games. The number of CIT’s accepted to this program is limited.
Teens interested in the CIT program are encouraged to download the
